Dear backers,
First of all… Happy new year! Despite the crazy times we are living, we managed to take a break, stay safe and healthy, and celebrate the winter holidays with our closest relatives... we hope you all did the same out there.
A small pledge manager update first: your survey response rate has been extremely good so far. Since the end of the campaign, almost 90% of you already completed their survey... but that also means that there’s still about 10% of you that didn’t! If this is your case, please make sure to fill up your survey as soon as possible, and if you didn’t receive your Pledge Manager invitation email, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected], we’ll send you the link to your survey.
The Late Pledge Store and the Pledge Manager platform will stay open up until March 2021, so you still have some time to modify your orders or even to invite some friends to join the adventure… Dungeons can be dangerous places, better not to go alone!
Regarding the development status of the project, we don’t have much news to share about the just yet, but be reassured that we’re steadily working behind the scenes to bring the project to fruition. The production process is in its early stages at this moment, and we’re working closely with our production partners to get everything ready. We hope we’ll have some interesting pre-production pictures to show you in our next update. For now, you just need to know that we are currently on track to meet our original estimated delivery later this year in September 2021.
On the other hand, our amazing artist Giulia is working hard illustrating the crazy world of Dungeon Fighter. To entice your appetite while we wait for the first pictures of actual items and goodies, here’s a sneak peek of some of the weird characters you’ll meet and the dangerous places you’ll visit during your adventures!

Backerkit surveys are incoming!

Hello Heroes,
we are excited to announce that we have started to send out your fulfillment surveys!
As usual, we'll be sending them out in batches, so that we can ensure there are no technical issues. It may take a few days before you receive yours, so don't worry if you don't receive it immediately. The survey will be sent to the email address associated with your Kickstarter account, and the email subject will say:
"Response Needed -- Get your reward for Dungeon Fighter" and it will be from [email protected].
It'll look like this:

In your survey, you'll be asked for the following info:
Your final shipping address
The add-on items you want to receive with your pledge credit (if applicable)
You will also have the ability to change your reward, or buy additional items (at exclusive Kickstarter prices) that will be shipped alongside your reward
During our previous campaigns we got a ton of questions around survey time, so we've gone ahead and laid out all the answers we can think of below. If you've got a question, we kindly ask that you start by reviewing the FAQ below.
KICKSTARTER SURVEY FAQ
1. WHAT IS BACKERKIT?
BackerKit is a 3rd party service that helps project creators like us to make our backers happy by sending out easy-to-use surveys and giving them another chance to take advantage of our Kickstarter discounted prices. We've worked with BackerKit on all of our previous Kickstarter projects, and their services just keep getting better and better. So, please don't be alarmed by the backerkit.com URL or the BackerKit logo at the top of the survey... you're in very trusted hands.
2. WHERE'S MY SURVEY? I CAN'T FIND IT.
No worries, surveys are sent in batches to ensure there are no technical issues. Check your email periodically between now and the end of next week roughly.
Maybe you're checking the wrong email account? Your survey will be sent to the email address that is associated with your Kickstarter profile. Not sure what email that is? Login to Kickstarter, click on the icon in the upper right of the screen, and go to Settings > Account.
Search your inbox and SPAM folder for "Dungeon Fighter" or "Response Needed".
If all else fails, go tohttps://dungeon-fighter.backerkit.com/, click the FAQ link, and then click the Contact tab. The kind folks at BackerKit are here to help!
3. HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO FILL OUT MY SURVEY?
The sooner you fill your survey out and submit it, the sooner we'll be able to plug your shipment into our fulfillment system, but you don't need to fill it right away. We plan to lock your orders in March 2021: at that point we will "lock down" your orders, preventing you from making further changes to your order so that we can have a final count of all the items we need to produce, and start the mass production in time to deliver your rewards according to the planned schedule.
Note that we cannot lock down surveys that are incomplete. You must fill out your survey in full in order for us to ship you your rewards.
4. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO CHARGE MY PAYMENT METHOD OF CHOICE?
Credit card payments will only be charged when we will lock your orders in March 2021.
5. WILL I BE ABLE TO CHANGE MY SURVEY AFTER SUBMITTING IT?
Yes, you'll be able to change anything (your address, add-ons and even pledge level) up until we are ready to start production. After that, you will still be able to update your shipping address (but only the shipping address) for several more weeks: you just won't be able to add or remove items from your order anymore. When we will be finally ready to ship your rewards, we will also lock down your shipping data, send your info to our shipping partners, and begin shipping your stuff. We'll tell you before we lock down shipping data, so that you will have time to make one last pass at them!
6. WHEN WILL STUFF SHIP?
As we specified on our Kickstarter project, you should receive your rewards in the month of September, 2021. Obviously we'll keep backers posted if anything about our planned fulfillment schedule changes.
7. HOW WILL PURCHASING ADD-ONS WORK ON BACKERKIT?
It's actually very straightforward, much easier than on Kickstarter itself. You can specify which add-ons you would like to receive together with your pledge just like you would in an online shop. If the cost of those items exceeds what you pledged, you can pay the difference via credit card directly in your BackerKit survey.
If you pledged more money than the value of your rewards+shipping, you'll see a credit when you get to the add-on screen in the survey. As you add things to your reward, that credit will decrease. If your credit hits 0€ and you keep adding things, then you will owe additional funds. Once you are finished adding stuff, you can pay those additional funds via credit card or PayPal in the next step.
8. MY PAYMENT FAILED. WHAT DO I DO NOW?
If your pledge payment failed via Kickstarter, there's still a chance for you to get your rewards for the same Kickstarter price. You will still have a survey emailed to you, but it will show that you pledged 0€. You will be able to pick whichever reward and add-ons you want, and then pay with a credit card, at the same price every other Kickstarter backer is paying.
Some international payment methods (particularly international bank cards) might not work with Backerkit's payment system. So, you may have to use a credit card for the payment to go through.
9. I'M MOVING SOON! WHAT SHOULD I LIST AS MY SHIPPING ADDRESS?
Give us your expected shipping address for the month of September 2021. If you don't know what your address will be during that time, we recommend filling out the address of a close relative or friend that you can trust as a backup solution (make sure to also warn them in advance that they may receive a package on your behalf). As we said above, we'll let you know when we're going to lock the shipping address data, and at that time you can go in and enter your correct address.

Hello Heroes,
the campaign is over, and you completely blew us away! More than 5190 brave backers, and more than 450k precious gold coins... thank you, to each and every single one of you!
Now we'll have to wait until Kickstarter will transfer over the funds you pledged to us (this can take up to two weeks). Then, we will send out to all of you an email invitation to BackerKit, our "pledge manager", where you will be able to fill your final survey to confirm the items you wish to receive with your pledge.
We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You won’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can, since we need this information to confirm your pledge (including which versions of the game you want, add-ons, and shipping address).
If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
If you prefer, you can contact us directly and give us your information, but answering your survey will help us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact us.
We'll take a few days to rest now, but we'll soon be back, head down, to finalize all aspects of the game and move to production as soon as possible! You will hear more from us soon. Have a good night!

The Dungeon: The End!

Hello Heroes,
only 10 hours left before the end of this campaign, and it's been an amazing journey so far! Yesterday's chapter of The Dungeon, Level 18, ended up being tied with Level 17 as the closest competition we've seen for the whole campaign! Once again, with a meager 51% of the votes and a gap of only around 10 votes, you chose to make a trip to the cursed graveyard and unlocked the additional "Foggy Cemetery" Dungeon card and the Prismatic Lens gadget for the Catacombs of Gloomy Ghosts box!
We decided to make you a final gift, too. Since we've now broke past the "1000% funded" mark by almost an additional 50%, instead of tying the losing option to a new social stretch goal as usual, we will unlock it straight away! The additional "Fountainof Wine" Dungeon card and the CupThrow gadget are now included in the Labyrinth of Sinister Storms box!
Do you know what this means? You unlocked all of the stretch goals that were planned for this campaign, that's what it means! Huzzah! Well done, adventurers, this wouldn't have been possible without your enthusiastic support!
And now, the final chapter of The Dungeon. No stretch goals to chose or votes to post this time, but your humble narrator has a few final words for you, before we can declare your adventure in The Dungeon as officially concluded.
My fellow adventurers, you've disappointed me for one last time by choosing this freaking spooky graveyard instead of a magical fountain of wine. Are you masochistic weirdos? My life is painful and without joy, and all of this thanks to you. Thank you, really, from the bottom of my heart. Luckily, the Horrible people who sent us all down here were generous enough to send some wine my way nevertheless. Much appreciated.I'm joking, I'm joking!
Jokes aside, it's been a wonderful adventure, so thank you for all the wonderful (and not-so-wonderful) moments that we spent together. The map has one final challenge in store for us in the final room of this Dungeon. There's no treasure to grab or monster to defeat this time. There is a much more valuable prize to grasp: EternalGlory. We'll be facing the judgement of the Gods of Dungeon Fighting themselves! If we will impress them with our skills, eternal fame and glory will be ours, for the rest of time. This is our moment to shine. Join me in this final celebration and post a video with the most difficult throwing combination that you can think of as a "comment" to this "Facebook post"... whatever these arcane words mean. And what are these magical words that I just said? You can touch themand stuff happens? Crazy!
Thanks, narrator. That's right, Heroes: we received the video of a spectacular throw that was so amazing that we thought... this would be a fantastic "for fun" final throwing challenge! In this video you'll see a fellow Dungeon Fighter hit the target while throwing the die from their head AND under their leg! We didn't think this was even possible, but... it seems it is! Can you think of another "impossible" throw combination... and actually pull it off? Or, do you simply want to test your limits? We've been making a few shipping cost calculations while taking the added weight of the (many) stretch goals unlockedinto account, and it seems that we will have to slightly increase the shipping costs compared to what was communicated at the beginning of the campaign. The increase is in the range of 1-3€ depending on your pledge level. It'snot a big change, but we want to warn you in advance (evenifthe end of the campaign is very close)so that you can reduce or remove your pledge if you are not ok with this shippingprice increase. Wewill soon update the shipping table on the main campaign page, too.

The Dungeon: Level 15

Hello Heroes,
it was another even match in Level 14. In the end, though, it seems you preferred avoiding dealing with flying sharp objects: with 57% of the votes, you've chosen the "more weapons" option, and unlocked the Wooden Sword Item card for the Labyrinth of Sinister Storms box!
Since Halloween is getting closer and closer, though, we think having the "Flying Objects" Dungeon room would be neat, too... so, here comes a new social throwing challenge! Download the print & play board, get your spookiest d6 die, put a book (or something like that) under your target, then record yourself while you throw a die, make it jump to new heights, and hit the "flying target"! Then, post a video of your flying fight as a comment to this Facebook post!
If the community collectively manage to deal a total of at least 20 damage, like a squadron of skilled aviators (for example, 20 people dealing 1 damage each would be enough), we will unlock the additional "Flying Objects" Dungeon card for the Catacombs of Gloomy Ghosts box!
Speaking of the previous social stretch goal, the heroic Facebook dungeon fighters managed to deal the required 20 damage while performing the Waterfall Throw (and then some), thus unlocking the additional "Frozen Waterfall" Dungeon card and the upgraded Waterfall throwing gadget for the Castle of Frightening Frosts box! Don't miss to check out the videos of the outstanding throws that are being posted daily!
In other news, the fourth (and final) box in-depth preview for the Castle of Frightening Frosts is live, joining the previously released ones for the Labyrinth of Sinister Storms, the Chambers of Malevolent Magma, and the Catacombs of Gloomy Ghost! These pages contain a list of the Heroes featured in each box, an explanation of the various throwing gadgets and templates that it contains, and a few examples of the included monsters, bosses, and throwing challenges. If you're pledging for an individual box or maybe just a couple of them, take a good look, they should help you choose which Dungeon Figther boxes you want to receive!

I've never seen anything like this Wooden Sword before... it almost seems to come from another realm. Whatever, I'm sure it will be useful. Onwards! Let me check the map... mmm, more treasure rooms, neat! One of them is in a freaking frosty place, though... that's if we go left. Some kind of cannon is hidden there; moving in the cold is hard enough, we could at least benefit from some long-range weapons! We will find something like that if we move right, too... some kind of throwing weapon made with weird balls, looking at this sketch; it might be the kind of attack we need in dark places, just spin it around and throw it, hopefully we'll hit some undead thing.
Level 15 will see you choose between 2 Equipment cards[*]. If you will go left, you will unlock the additional “Snowball Cannon" Item card for the Castle of Frightening Frosts box. If you will go right, instead, you will unlock the additional “Bolas” Item card for the Catacombs of Gloomy Ghosts box.
[*] The Snowball Cannon will have you to throw the giant Snow die at the target (the special die made with super-light foam material that we already unlocked), instead of the regular dice. The Bolas weapon, instead, will give you the option to throw the Pendulum die at the target at the start of the fight (that's the special die that you have to swing instead of a regular throw, also already unlocked).
